Agrigen has an impressive database covering 130+ feedstock commonly used in anaerobic digestion facilities. If however a client has a feedstock which is unknown to the Agrigen, we will prefer that a Biomethane Potential (BMP) assay be done before designing a facility.

For performing the BMP, a known amount of volatile solids is added to a seeded batch reactor and the gas production and quality is measured. Parrralel to this, a blind test is performed. After a number days, gas production ceases. The cumulutive gas production is calculated by subtracting the blind sample gas production and is called the biomethane potential, i.e. the maximum gas production at infinite time for any given feedstock.
We offer a full testing service of any feedstock. The turn-around time is usually 40 days and the results are given in a report format with conclusions on how to apply the BMP knowledge to the design of a continous process.
Please contact Agrigen for a quote. The laboratory can handle a minimum of three samples.
